Hello everyone! My name's Eli and I'm a psychedelic fluid artist! I go by The Pour Hippy (P O U R because I pour paint😉). I pour acrylic and resin on pretty much anything that could use a bit more color, and I have really enjoyed finding all the different ways I can display my art, from wood panel paintings to functional skateboards, from clothing to furniture, you name it!

I actually have no background in visual art! Everything I do was either learned from Youtube, or trial & error. I graduated from ASU with a degree in biochemistry, but I picked up fluid art bored winter break of my junior year, and I've been doing it ever since!

First, if the painting shape is not square or rectangle, I probably laser cut the wood myself. From there, either the laser cut piece or basic panel is sanded, primed, painted, and allowed to dry. After drying and cleaning, the back of the painting gets my logo branded into the wood and the front is finished in a thick resin topcoat (often with a bit of mica powder sparkle).

With that said, I always love a challenge. Feel free to message me about commissions! I can pour particular styles or color schemes in quality paintings, shoes, skateboards, nightstands, coffee tables, whatever!

I had no idea what I wanted to do after high school; I was following a traditional path, and getting absolutely no joy out of it, thinking that's just how things are. Since finding my artistic medium, I've known a passion words could never describe. And I can never thank all of you enough for supporting my dreams and helping me share my art with the world❤️
